I️ serve in the music education profession as an educator, clinician, PD facilitator, conductor, & researcher. My passion is uplifting and empowering both students and educators through motivation and meaningful training. My research on music educator burnout focuses on improving recruitment and retention by mitigating the effects of burnout in our profession. Finally, I also have a passion for the realm of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging in our music profession.

About Marcus

Dr. Marcus Morris is a passionate and dedicated music educator residing in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Dr. Morris has been in the field of music education for over 18 years. He currently serves at his alma mater, Dorman High School, as the Assistant Director of Bands.
