He credits these diverse experiences with providing him a wealth of knowledge in musicianship, student achievement, recruitment & retention, motivation, and success.

His passion for music education and research on the subject fuels his drive to be a better musician, clinician, and educator. He states “my heart is in the band room” when speaking of his adoration for his career and the lives he touches through music. His hopes are that the students and areas he teaches in become a family united by a passion for music, a love of the arts, and hope for the future. He strongly believes that music programs are the strong and polarizing examples of community, teamwork, and commitment to excellence that will benefit our society for many years to come.
